Time Clock

Clocks that only measure time are so last century

With HR for Health, you get a time clock that goes way beyond IN and OUT.

Clocking in and out

You and your employees track time every day. We make it as simple as opening your office door.

Timesheet edit and manager alert

Make a mistake? No problem. Our timesheets are easy to edit. Plus, you get alerts when something looks fishy.

Modification history and approval

Don’t let anything slip by you. If an edit is made after your review, we make sure you get a chance to approve that edit.

Trusted by thousands of practices nationwide

Location tracking and alerts

Employees move between offices? We’ve got a time clock for that.

Sure, you know when your employees work. But do you know where they were?

Different locations can have different payscales, different internal rules, and even different laws you need to stay compliant with.

With HR for Health, location tracking is a part of the time entry process. And you’ll get alerts if something out of the ordinary comes up. So you can fix issues before they become issues.

Early clock-in and overtime alerts

Your practice isn’t always 9-5. Neither is our time clock.

Maybe you’ve got some really hard working employees. Maybe they’re saving for a new car. But just maybe someone’s trying to catch you napping.

With early clock-in and overtime alerts, you’re protected against fraud and compliance issues. And you can prep for whatever payday will bring.

Automatic Paid Time Off payroll sync

Powerful PTO payroll without the paperwork

It’s wonderful when your employees have the freedom to take PTO. It’s a whole lot less wonderful when you have to manually enter it into your payroll system.

Don’t let the good vibes get buried under admin work. HR for Health has automatic, accurate payroll sync to keep everyone aggravation-free.

Integrated payroll processing

Turn time entries into perfect payroll processing. Just like that.

Multiple systems and manual processing are how payroll mistakes happen. Not to mention a mountain of wasted time and effort.

Our integrated payroll processing takes less time and is more accurate than trying to bridge the gap yourself.

No one expects you to be a human database. Let our actual databases do the work instead.

It’s like a compliance lawyer who lives in your computer

How can a time off platform protect you from lawsuits?

What makes our HR solution different?

It’s in the name:

HR for Health

There’s a lot of HR software solutions out there, but there’s only one that’s designed by a practitioner and an attorney specifically for dental and medical practices. That’s us. Every feature, function, and product is designed for healthcare teams. No other HR solution can say that.

Customized & Compliant Handbooks

You don’t need to keep up with employment law, but your policies definitely do. We automatically update your policies and handbooks to account for changes to laws and regulations at the local, state, and even federal levels.

Compliance-First. Always.

Just because you haven’t faced a lawsuit doesn’t mean it’s not coming. Other software leaves compliance up to you. We take care of it with a total solution that ensures you stay legal.

Practice Protection = Profit Protection

Every year thousands of practices are attacked with expensive lawsuits that not only cost a lot but cause irreparable reputational damage. Simply keeping compliant allows you to mitigate nearly 99%* of HR-related legal claims. *1% of legal claims require beating someone with a stick.

Time Clock FAQs

How can I track work hours accurately?

The best way to track work hours accurately is have a time clock system that integrates directly with your payroll and HR software. Whether it’s a physical time clock or, more likely, a software solution, this makes it easy to enter time, easy to edit time, flags anomalies, and reduces errors translating the hours worked into all the necessary payroll and administrative paperwork.

How can I track work hours for different locations?

The easiest way to track work hours for different locations is to use HR software that allows employees to note where they worked. This allows the system calculate the payroll, tax, and compliance implications, freeing you up from hours of administrative work.

How can I track work hours for different types of employees?

To track work hours for different types of employees, you should use a software platform that will do the heavy administrative lifting for you. If your practice is very small, you might be able to get away with a spreadsheet, but the time and complexity involved will quickly scale with each new hire and employee type.

Who needs to track time at a healthcare practice?

Anyone whose hours are important in determining how (or whether) they get paid. It’s also important for accruing PTO and sick leave. Our software can help you determine who needs itemized timesheets and who will get paid regardless.

Why do I need to track healthcare employees’ time?

First, overtime and break time compliance. If you can’t prove you’ve correctly paid employees, especially for overtime and required breaks, you’ve exposed yourself to expensive lawsuits. Second, creating a paper trail in case of violations that might lead to termination is crucial in, once again, avoiding lawsuits. Third, it’s helpful to know when everyone is in or out so you can make sure your practice is running smoothly and optimize employee performance.

My PMS has a time clock. Why do I need a new one?

The time clock function in your typical PMS (such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, etc.) is added as more of an afterthought. It only tracks wage and hour based on federal law. The HR for Health time clock tracks state-specific nuances of varying overtime, rest breaks, and meal break laws.We have a couple other upgrades as well. HR for Health clients can track employee metrics like tardiness. Our time clock is also based on your specific office location(s). So it’s accessible unless your employee is physically in your office to clock in and out.

Can I deduct things like lunch breaks from employee time entries?

Yes, you can edit timesheets and include events like lunch breaks. But be careful to stay on the right side of the law (and general ethics).
